The NDLEA has arrested Afolabi Kazeem Michael, aka "KC Luxury," whom it identified as the Nigerian ringleader of an international co***ne cartel. He was arrested at the Lagos airport on August 13 while allegedly attempting to flee to Paris.

According to the agency, KC Luxury posed as a luxury goods dealer and social media influencer while allegedly coordinating the movement of co***ne from South America through Nigeria to the UK, Europe and Asia.

NDLEA said it recovered foreign currencies, expensive jewellery and exotic vehicles from him and his Banana Island apartment. His arrest followed the seizure of 184.5kg of co***ne, valued at about N39 billion by the cartel.

The news emerged after his daughter, Kira Taiwo, made an emotional appeal on social media for medical advice and assistance.

According to Kira, doctors have stated they can no longer administer chemotherapy due to his condition. As a result, the family is urgently looking for alternative treatment options, whether through specialized medical procedures or traditional means.

She emphasized that they are not asking for financial donations, but are simply seeking information that could help their father recover
