*14th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year C*
*Sunday, July 6th, 2025*
*THEME: "OUR LIVES ARE NOT DEFINED BY WHAT WE HAVE, BUT BY WHAT WE BECOME"*
"Do not rejoice because demons bow to your commands, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven" (Luke 10:20).
Beloved in Christ, this scripture perfectly describes the task of laborers in the vineyard (Matthew 20:1-16). Emphasizing; it's not about the things we do or command that matter, but what brings testimony to our sincere love for Christ and our names being recorded in the Book of Heaven (Revelation 20:12, 15).
Dearly beloved, as candidates of the kingdom, our focus shouldn't be on the miracles we perform (Matthew 7:22-23) or contributions we give to the church or the many times we were available at church, but on the relationship we have with Christ, expressed in the love for our neighbors (Mark 12:30-31).
Today, we are called to radiate the peace our sonship brings (Romans 8:14-17), going out like sheep among wolves (Matthew 10:16), taking peace to the troubled, the weak, the sick, and the unloved.
Beloved in Christ, today we are called to focus on our names being written in the Book of Heaven, for it is the greatest joy of our lives (Philippians 4:3).
Therefore, we are called to radiate peace, love, and compassion, bringing hope to those in need (1 Corinthians 13:1-3, 1 John 3:17-18). Let us pray:
"Lord, make me an instrument of peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Amen."
Happy Sunday
