Oh Nigeria, My Nigeria

They dared Jonathan.

When Buhari came, we said, "He's a military man, thank God. He will fix Nigeria." They also dared him.

When Tinubu came, we said he had no godfather and would be able to confront the so-called cabal that many believe operates behind the scenes. He started well with bold reforms, and many Nigerians had high hopes.

Today, however, he seems to have lost control of events, and many are already calling for his resignation.

This is not something to be happy about. Rather, it should make us worried. If a bold and politically experienced Tinubu fails, then we may be in deeper trouble than we realize. Perhaps the situation is not as straightforward as many of us think.

What is really wrong with Nigeria?

Personally, I sometimes wonder whether there are deeper agendas and interests that continue to shape events in the country. Some people believe that religious, ethnic, and political interests have become so entrenched that they frustrate genuine progress and national unity.

I find it troubling that many of those linked to insecurity and violence are often associated with a particular ethnic or religious identity. Whether this perception is accurate or not, it raises questions that Nigerians can no longer afford to ignore.

Is it really true that there is an agenda to Islamise Nigeria?

Nigerians, let us think critically and not simply accept every narrative placed before us. Ask questions. Look beyond the surface.

Something seems fishy.

Lord, help Nigeria.
