DIVIDEND – the magazine for Local Government places a media searchlight on the activities of the 774 local governments in Nigeria. We publicize and explore developments taking place at the local level. We strive to build capacity for local authorities nationwide to deliver on the promise of local governance in Nigeria. We showcase local government best practices, set out policy and legislative dev

elopments, identify rising stars in local government circles, speak to those who are making things happen and look at developments in other nations. We share some of the cost effective and creative strategies that local governments have utilized in solving social or economic challenges. It is our aim to provide a platform for continuous dialogue between residents of councils, chairmen, councilors, NULGE, ALGON, State and federal officials as well as the international community on issues of grassroots development and local governance.
