🚨 Kano Youths Cry Out: “We Are Trapped, Politicians Are Using Us”

From losing parents, job loss, lack of resources — many adolescents and adults in Kano have fallen into drug abuse. They accuse political actors of exploiting them during elections for chaos and influence—and then ignoring them completely.

Meet Aminu, Sulaiman, Mada — young people who once had hopes, skills, and education. Now, they say, they are stuck in addiction, longing for skills training, rehabilitation, and a chance to rebuild their lives.
📌 Operation Safe Corridor has started with good intentions — offering training, support, and capital. Hundreds helped. But thousands more are still crying out.

👥 What can we do?
➡️ Advocate for more inclusive rehabilitation & support services
➡️ Demand political responsibility — not instrumentalization of the vulnerable
➡️ Encourage NGOs, civil society, and government to scale up skills training & job creation

A suspected case of viral hemorrhagic fever was isolated at Nisa Premier Hospital after a man, returning from Rwanda, displayed high fever, bleeding, and other alarming symptoms. Authorities confirm Ebola and Marburg tests are negative.
The FCT Health Secretariat and NCDC emphasise our surveillance is alert, and urge everyone to:

🚨 Tragedy has hit Riwaza, near Fobgbe community in Kwali Area Council, FCT.
A herder who went missing on Sunday was found lifeless on Monday evening by a farmer returning from his field.
Community members say he had gone out with his cows but never returned. His body was discovered two days later, sparking shock and grief in the community.
Authorities are yet to determine the cause of death.

Dangote Refinery has slashed its petrol prices across Nigeria! Starting September 15, 2025, petrol will go for:
N841/L in Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo & Ekiti (down from N860)
N851/L in Abuja, Edo, Delta, Rivers & Kwara (from N885)
And the refinery is launching direct petrol distribution to consumers using its own trucks — cutting logistics costs for you.
Heads up: These prices are from Dangote, but not yet binding on all marketers.
