Everybody is doing the business I am doing...

This is one of the challenges so many people face.

You are scared of starting that business,
you are scared of starting that type of content,

you are scared of learning that skill, because you feel everyone is doing what you are doing.

I want to ask you a question:
Have you ever wondered how everyone in GSM village is making sales despite selling or doing the same thing the other person is doing?

How about the yam sellers or clothe sellers in the market?

These people stay in the same location.

This is to tell you that the world is large enough to contain everyone.

Everyone in GSM village has their own customers, same as you.

Instead of being scared of starting that business or skill because every other person is doing it, find a way to stand out among others.

Last year, I went to GSM village here in Abuja to fix my laptop screen, the shop I went was very cool, clean & the neat.

The AC was giving me joy.

Hold on,
I'm not done with my story. 😊

As I was waiting for the main oga to arrive, the sales rep served me a chilled Malt.

When the work was in progress, I was served an egg roll & bottle water.

Later, boiled groundnut was purchased for all of us.

Later in the afternoon, I was hungry.
The sales rep freely offered to help me purchase the food.

Some will say "these would be added to your charges."

Nope, I have discussed the price with the boss before coming.

There's also a salon I always go to whenever I want to plait my hair.

I pass other salons, enter Okada to that particular salon.

Reason: "I am not tasked with giving attachment. The apprentices do the work.

Again, they always welcome me with a smiling face"

I know of a P.O.S woman in my area.
I always wondered if she's making much gain in the business, because there are lots of people doing the same business in the same location.

Until I discovered something.
This woman comes very early.

As early as 7:00 am, when people are rushing to work, she's already there.

Her target audience won't be bothered about where to get cash because they know she would be there early in the morning.

She also sells boiled eggs & oil perfume, she welcomes her customers with a smiling face.

She used coming early, a smiling face, boiled egg & oil perfumes to stand out among other people into the same business

You can still do what every other person around you is doing, what will keep you going is to stand out among others.

So, go out, do that business, learn that skill, the world is large enough to contain everyone.

You Want to Start a Business But Have No Capital? Do These 6 Things

No money? That’s not the end.
Some of the most successful people started with zero cash.
What they had was sense, hunger, and strategy.

If you are ready to start a business but broke, do these six things:

1. Sell What You Know, Not What You Have:
You may not have money, but you have knowledge or skills.

Can you write? Design? Cook? Teach? Sell?
Start with that. Offer your skill as a service.

2. Use Other People’s Products:
You don’t need to own products to sell.
Start by selling for others.

Find small business owners with great products and help them get buyers, then collect your commission.

3. Offer Free Value First:
If nobody knows you, they won’t buy from you.

Start by offering small value for free, this builds trust and shows proof of what you can do.

From there, you’ll attract paying clients.

4. Post Like You Mean Business:
You don’t need a shop or office to start.
Use your phone.

Start posting helpful content online. Be consistent.

Let people see you as someone who knows what they’re doing.

5. Learn While You Earn:
You don’t have to know everything.

Take small jobs, even if you’re still learning.
Improve as you go. Ask questions. Watch others.
Let your hustle teach you.

6. Network Like Your Life Depends On It:
Tell people what you do.

Ask for referrals.
Join groups, attend events (even online), and connect with people who can open doors.

You may not have capital, but you’re not empty.

If you use what’s in your head and in your hands, money will come.

Start now.
Start small.
Grow fast.

It Feels Like Everyone Is Doing What You’re Doing,

Here's What to Do About It:

You're not alone.

Everywhere you look, it seems like someone is doing the same thing you're doing.

Same business.
Same type of picture.

Same niche.
Same type of videos.
Same kind of posts.

You start to wonder:

“What’s the point? How do I stand out when it feels like the whole world is doing this thing?”

Here’s the truth:

Yes, the space might look crowded.

But "most people are just copying without clarity."

They're showing up, but not standing out.

They post, but don’t connect.
They create, but don’t teach or lead.

That’s where you come in.

People don’t follow you because you're the only one doing it.

They follow you because you make it easier for them to understand.

You help them see what’s possible.
You speak their language.
You’re real.

So instead of asking, “Why is everyone doing what I’m doing?”

Ask, “What can I do differently that makes people remember me?”

Don’t blend in.
Don’t rush to copy the next trend.

Focus on clarity, consistency, and the way you explain things in a way nobody else can.

Because even in a crowded market, the ones who simplify, win.

Keep showing up with your voice.
That’s your edge.

And that’s how you grow.

There are five business owners in my WhatsApp contact I don't view their WhatsApp status,

not because they offended me, but because they have b@d marketing strategies.

Here are the things they do daily 👇:

🌀. They post a lot on their WhatsApp status.

If the WhatsApp status line didn't turn to a straight line, it means they haven't started.

Staying consistent doesn't mean you should post too much.

🌀. Boring WhatsApp status: They only post about business, nothing else.

Dear online business owners, learn how to make your WhatsApp status lively.

Mix funny memes, add funny videos.

Posting too much on your status will make people stop viewing your WhatsApp status update,

some will even mute your WhatsApp status.

Imagine when you have many people like me in your WhatsApp contacts, how do you think you will make more sales?

Your aim is to get people to view your WhatsApp status.

When people get to know that you are someone that always posts only your business or too many business posts on your WhatsApp status, they will stop viewing your WhatsApp status.

Start posting things that will attract people to view them, stop chasing your potential customers away.

If you found this information useful, follow me for more business growth tips.

Whatever you say with your mouth is very powerful. You won't believe what happened to me...

Before going to NYSC Orientation Camp, I always said this to myself "I don't want to serve in a school. I don't want to teach."

I only said this to myself & my immediate elder brother, because nobody will believe it's actually possible.

I studied Education and English language at the university, the chance of not serving in a school is very very tiny, in fact 0%.

In everyone's mind, I'm going to serve in a school (classroom teacher), in my own mind "I am not going to serve in a school," even though I didn't know "how."

I have worked in schools when I was an undergraduate.

I did my teaching practice in two different schools, the first one was a senior secondary, the later was a junior secondary.

During my first teaching practice, I taught 4 different classes in SS 2.

Imagine one person handling four classes.
I saw nwiiii. 😂

Going back home to rest.
Which rest?

When I have gigantic lesson notes to write/mark students Assignments/read & mark their notes/prepare for tomorrow's lesson?

My parents were teachers.
I just told myself, I'm not continuing from where they stopped.

This is not my calling. 🤣

Back to my story.

I went to orientation camp.

Friends & people were asking me, "where do you want to serve?"

I told them, "I don't know. I have told God to take me anywhere that's best for me."

Before I forget, my NYSC was delayed.
I used the period of the delay to learn some tech skills online instead of staying at home & wasting my time.

The NYSC orientation camp I camped in has lots of opportunities for corp members to get good PPA, because many companies came during the SAED programme requesting for corp members.

Unfortunately, these opportunities are only available to people that paid attention during SAED programmes and early morning drills.

One day, during morning drills, after morning prayer, I usually stay at the back or middle because of my height.

Again, I have been sick, so for some days now, I usually sit on the floor during morning drills without really paying attention.

When you are sick, the only thing you think about is how to recover fast, nothing else concern you. 😅

The camp clinic coordinator & the doctors actually told me to take permission & go home, but na me no gree.

I told them, "I am here to have fun, connect with people & experience new aspect of life. So, no leave, no transfer." 😂

Let's continue....

On this very day, I was staying at the back, one spirit told me to go to the front so that you can hear what the camp officials are saying properly.

This was how I heard one announcement that I didn't know it was going to be God's work in fulfilling the utterances I have been saying about not wanting to serve in a school.

One of the camp officials announced, "if you have the following tech skills: video editing, web designing, photography, animation, digital marketing, graphic designing, animation e.t.c, & you wish to volunteer to work under the Minister of Youth, come out.

At first, I didn't want to go out, because the confidence wasn't there.

I told my platoon members, I have some of these skills (animation, video editing, photography, digital marketing, graphic designing).

My platoon members joined mouth together & told me to go.

In summary, this was how God landed me in a big tech company in the heart of the city I camped in. 😅🥰

A company that has 24/7 AC, WiFi, dining hall with freezer, cups, spoons, plates & microwave, comfortable & luxurious work space, sparkling rest room, snooker game, video game, table tennis, free refreshments many times e.t.c.

Plus staff & CEO that care about your well-being, future & health.

During the first 1 month of training, there was free breakfast. 😋

All of us (the corp members) have free customised notebook, cup, pen, face cap, tag, ID card & t-shirt.

What did I say earlier, "there's great power in tongue. Be mindful of what you say to yourself & people around you."

Moral lesson:
1. Be mindful of your words & believe.

2. When you go to NYSC orientation camp, pay adequate attention during SAED programmes & morning drills.

I forgot to add, I learnt how to barb hair at Camp.

God is forever the GREATEST! 🙏

A few days ago, I received a phone call from a strange number at work.

I picked the call. The next thing I heard was "Hello Chi, please you fit borrow me 5k I go give you back tomorrow abi asap.

I can't even remember wetin the person talk.

She sounded very urgent.

I come ask am, please who be this?

She come explain who she be.

E come be one lady way dey near my area.
She no be my friend, I no even get her number.

See wetin I reply I am, "you done enter one chance ooh. Even shishi I no get."

She come say, "alright na, no wahala."

I no sabi hide mouth, make I use indirect way talk am. Nah

Me way dey think of how I go see money way go transport to & fro to my PPA, na e person way no be my friend not to talk of close friends dey call me for urgent 5k?

Money way I dey very sure say she no go pay me back.

I know anybody can be in need of help at anytime, but I see it as lack of "Self Respect" when you leave all your close friends & family members to beg someone that's not even your friend to borrow you money.

This is not the first time I am having this kind of experience from people that we hardly chat not to talk of talking being friends.

Which kind of friends some people dey get way them no fit collect or borrow 5k or 2k from?

Habamana!...

Any money you can't borrow from your close friends, friends after close friends & family members, I will suggest you should use loan apps or go to the bank.

Immediately I ended the call, I come dey shout "Blood of Jesus Christ cover me."

My colleagues come dey ask me "Chigozie, what's the problem?"

E be like say next time na this egbe nta 👇I go use teach some persons a lesson.

Who else has had this similar experience?

People Don’t Trust You Enough to buy from you?

Here’s Why They Think You will Sc@m Them”

Let’s be real.
You’re trying to sell your skills online, but nobody is buying.

They open your inbox, see your offer, and their first thought is: “What if this is a scam?”

It hurts.
Especially when you know you’re real. You know the value you offer.

But the internet is full of fake people, so nobody wants to be the next victim.

Keep reading, you will discover why they don't trust you.

Here’s why they don’t trust you yet:

1. You look like every other seller.

No face.
No real proof.

No results.
Just another “I can help you” post.

They’ve seen it too many times.
It doesn’t stand out.

2. You are too silent.
You post once in a while and disappear.

People buy from those they see often those they feel close to.

3. You don’t show how you work.
You keep saying “I’m good,” but where’s the process?

Where’s the behind-the-scenes?
Where’s the before and after?

I once faced the same problem.

These are what I did to fix the problem 👇:

🌀. Be present:
Show up daily.

Drop value, stories, and short lessons from your journey.

Let them see you are not hiding.
These are exactly what I do daily.

🌀. Tell your story:
How did you learn what you know?

Why do you do what you do? People trust people, not flyers.

I share my stories here a lot.
Many of my audience can tell you stories about how I ventured into tech.

🌀. Show your work:
Don’t only show the result, show how you got there.

People trust what they understand.

You are wondering the reason I always share my work here, this is the reason.

🌀. Be patient:
Trust is slow.

But when it’s built, even strangers will send you money with full confidence.

This is one thing you should never play with. Once you start looking for quick results, you will give up easily.

Your audience wants to buy from someone real.
So don’t rush the sale, earn their trust.

And once they trust you, they’ll not only buy,
They’ll tell others about you.

Keep showing up.
Keep teaching.
Keep being real.

That’s how you break the “sc@mmer” tag and build a name that sells on its own.

Tag someone that needs to hear this at the comment section.
