Arewa and the blame game.

~Today, another Southerner is on the throne and want to revive our tax system so that it will be in line with the global standards practice, and all of a sudden, the arewa blame game by both the politicians and their gullible foolish followers is popping up again. But this time around, we are not blaming the entire south for our lack of vision, redundant youth, and unproductive population. But rather, we are blaming the so called "lagos axis" or the south west.
We are so use to free rider mentality that we don't even hold our own in power accountable but we will be quick to point fingers to others when they are doing the right thing for their people. Examples;

~ When Obasanjo Was president, we blame everything on his presidency. Any set back we face we blame the so called southern presidency agenda. For example, the decay and folding of our industrial hub like cotton and mills because of harsh environment and economic conditions of doing business was called the southern agenda to crippled industries in the north. Whereas, our governors and legislators that can fine-tune the ugly trend by providing the conducive environment for business are sitting down Idle while continue to loot with impunity. Same thing with electricity, all the small electricity and irrigation Dams that were constructed during previous military regimes are abandoned by the our own people.

~When Goodluck Jonathan comes to pwer, some of us brazenly and wickedly blame him for boko haram crises. In fact, some people out of ignorance and foolishness called him the sponsor. You wonder where are the northern governors and legislators when millions of kids are roaming our streets in the name of Almajiranchi. You wonder where are the governors when Boko haram leaders are spreading their misguided views within their communities. Today The Almajiri school initiated by the same Goodluck Jonathan is abandon by our own Buhari and the Governors.

~During Buhari Regime, Kidnapping pop up in the north and spread like wild fire, but this time around, we refuse to blame the Government because he is our own (Northerner). in fact, some dumb people among us called it sabotage by the southern political mafia. And some of us swallow this madness in the name of "our own government" additionally, the Mamabila electricity project that we are hoping we would benefit from since it is the northern government at the top turn out to be a total failure. corruption was at top of the roof as buhari cronies race to enrich them selves while our crumb looking unproductive youth continue to sing praises of the politicians that are looting them dry all in the name of PR and Jagaliyanci.

As food inflation in Nigeria increase by 13.89% in one year after government declaration of emergency on food security (Nairametrics), the continues call for price control from some angle is arguable understandable especially from the lower income earners and middle class. but price control in developing economy like ours will be a catastrophe. in fact, price control as a means to tame inflation is an archaic approach that has long prove to be counter productive in a capitalist settings like ours.

Monetary policy by the Central Bank (CBN) and a Good fiscal policy reform from the Government will still be the best approach that will tame the situation, Calm international actors, Charm investors and still attract FDI.
