The Young Entrepreneurs Forum YEF, Bayelsa State Chapter, wishes to use this medium to welcome every member and prospective members of the forum and to all Bayelsa State Leaders and the general populace a blissful new month of August 2025.

It is our earnest prayer that the good Lord who kept us alive to see this new month by His imminent mercies will surely see us through this new month with results that will better the lives of our teaming youths and everyone of you out there.

The Young Entrepreneurs Forum remains the hope of the common man, a platform for the grassroots genuine hustlers to pitch tent with for the purpose of collaboration with other forum members in the agitation to obtain support from both those in government and its agencies and of course all men of goodwill who have pleasure in the growth of others.

For if the youths who chose to survive legitimately are supported with grants and soft loans, crime and criminalities will be tamed drastically. Our core value remains to complement Government effort to tame youth restiveness and social vices through entrepreneurial development. It is not just a forum but a revolution of the Young Entrepreneurs whom the present economic reality of our Nation has affected so much with this initiative as the only option left to secure a breakthrough.

As a Forum, we aim to solicit for support annually for a 10 years interval with a target to empower about 1000 young struggling Entrepreneurs out of penury. God has blessed our land with the needed resources and the man power, all what we need is the spirit to help one another. For even God loves a cheerful giver.

Let's continue to be our brother's keeper to secure a better tomorrow.

YEF Bayelsa State Chapter Meets with Director of Procurement, Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC,
..Obtains assurance of support and admonition to foster goal attainment of the Bayelsa Young Entrepreneurs

The Young Entrepreneurs Forum Bayelsa State Chapter, in her quest to raise a Hundred Million Naira Grant to support Bayelsa Young Entrepreneurs who are struggling in penury due to the harsh economic reality of our clime were able to meet with Hon. Prince Doodei Week Agbabou Ph.D, Director of Procurement Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, who is also a successful Entrepreneur and a business mogul of Ijaw Nation.

The Chairman of the Forum, Comrade Agala Menidin Collins while speaking during the call highlighted the need for the Young Youths who chose entrepreneurship to be deliberately empowered by those in government and men of good will so as to curtail the level of youth restiveness, social vices, and on the other hand improve the livelihood of our teaming youths.

In a response, Hon. Doodei Week Ph.D, commended the initiative of the Young Entrepreneurs and assured the Forum of his support with admonition for the youths to be determined in the development of their individual businesses, noting that white collar jobs are scarce and entrepreneurship should be the new narrative.

Youth Internship Scheme: Placement, Payment of Beneficiaries Begin

The Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has commenced the placement and payment of 10,000 beneficiaries of the Youth Internship Scheme for one-year practical skills training in various organisations for sustainable youth empowerment in the Niger Delta region.

With the successful completion of the selection of beneficiaries and their ongoing placement in organisations for practical experience, the payment of the monthly stipends has also taken effect.

The selection process was conducted with the utmost transparency, diligence, and fairness after over 3.2 million young people registered in the database at the close of the application period.

This unprecedented response highlights our youth's immense potential and aspirations. The Commission remains steadfast in ensuring this life-changing opportunity reaches the most deserving candidates, creating a lasting impact and paving the way for a brighter future.

Notably, we have established a comprehensive digital repository of vital information, including the qualifications, skills, interests, needs, and employment status of youths in the region. This data-driven approach enables the Commission to design targeted programmes that address the unique needs of the vibrant and resourceful youth population.
To ensure that all our initiatives are anchored in transparency and ethical practices, the NDDC partnered with KPMG, a globally renowned consultancy, to enhance our corporate governance framework. The KPMG has produced a Governance Advisory Report that will serve as a tool for implementing the Commission’s transition from transaction to transformation policy.

The NDDC remains deeply committed to engaging stakeholders, youth and community leaders in shaping the future of the Niger Delta region.

We appreciate the Niger Delta stakeholders, including those who applied for the youth Internship Scheme, for their patience, unwavering support and understanding during the meticulous selection process for the transformative programme.

Our commitment to transparency and fairness, which aligns with President Bola Tinubu's administration's Renewed Hope Agenda, guided the selection of beneficiaries.
