The ‘Afro-wahala’ artiste dropped comments on his baby mama’s birthday post. He says, “Try to appreciate who appreciate you. If I respect you, you should also respect yourself.

AZIKEL AVIATION EXAM

On the 5th of March 2024,the Ijaw Nation was made proud by two of its sons,in the Azikel Aviation training exam. This exam has 200 questions with a given time of 36 seconds per question,with the pass mark being 80%. The questions involved,calculations,map reading,weather reading,etc. Out of 776 candidates who applied for the program,155 candidates were shortlisted to take this exam and only two Ijaw sons made the whole state proud.

I am wondering why no one has come out to celebrate the outstanding performance of these two Ijaw sons,not even political office holders from their various places.

If no Bayelsan passed the exam,the news would have been everywhere but these two Ijaw sons made us proud,they changed the narrative and they proved that Ijaws are very intelligent.

I want to use this medium to call on the State Governor,the commissioner of education and other well meaning Bayelsans who value hardwork,who value education,to call on these two Ijaw sons and show the younger generations that education is still a valuable assest in todays world where yahoo and public nakedness are taken over.

Kindly celebrate these Ijaw sons,and share till it gets to the appropriate authority.

Gov. Diri Again Inspects Ongoing Projects

His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State today in his usual style, took a routine inspection of ongoing projects in the State.

The inspection was to ascertain projects ready for commissioning to celebrate the 2 years anniversary of the Prosperity Administration

Speaking to newsmen, Governor Diri expressed satisfaction at the level of work being done at the project sites and also commended the supervisory Ministry of Works and Infrastructure.

"Very very commendable, you know I have very competent hand in the Ministry of Works and very competent monitors and I have been receiving reports, I just came by myself this time to confirm the reports that I have received so far, and what we have seen is very commendable and we are sure that the targets will be kept.

Some of the projects inspected were,

■.The Yenagoa-Oporoma road project where the Governor and his entourage drove to Angiama on the sand-filled portion.

■. The State Media House to house Radio Bayelsa, Niger Delta Television NDTV and the Newspaper Corporation.

■. The Glory Drive road from Ecumenical centre.

■. Section One of Igbogene-AIT Elebele road up to Okarki area.

■. Igbedi road project.

■. The Bayelsa State Transport Terminal at Igbogene.

■. The Elebele Bridge.

■. The Onopa Bridge and more.

In company of the Governor were, the Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Abraham Ingobere, Leader of the House, Rt. Hon.Monday Bubou Edwin Obolo, Chief of Staff Government House, Chief Benson Sunday Agadaga, Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, ESV Moses Teibowei, Commissioner for Information, Orientation and Strategy, Hon. Ayibaina Duba and other top government functionaries.

DR. CHIDI LLOYD BUSTS MULTIPLE ILLEGAL PETROLEUM REFINERIES IN ELELE-ALIMINI

-- Uncovers illegal mortuary and petroleum depot inside Elele-Alimini general hospital

As Rivers State government intensifies effort to end soot pandemic in the State, the chairman of Emohua local government area, Dr Chidi Lloyd has busted a very large site with multiple illegal petroleum refineries in Elele-Alimini town.

The council chairman also effected the arrest of some perpetuators of the illegal oil bunkering intercepted in course of the operation.

Disappointed with the level of environmental degradation caused by the illegal oil bunkering activities on the large large expanse of land, the council chairman ordered for the immediate investigation and prosecution of the arrested suspects to establish the ownership of the oil bunkering sites.

The council chairman and his team also effected the arrest of two drivers who were caught transporting illegally refined petroleum products at Rumuekpe junction along the East-West road.

Acting on a tip off on criminal activities along old Ahoada road in Elele-Alimini, Dr Lloyd accompanied by a combined team of security personnel and the local government taskforce on Wednesday stormed Elele-Alimini general hospital and uncovered a depot operated by illegal petroleum refiners inside the general hospital.

The council chairman also intercepted an illegal mortuary where kidnap victims who died in the custody of their abductors are usually deposited inside Elele-Alimini general hospital.

Dr. Lloyd wondered why the leadership of Elele-Alimini allowed such atrocious business in the community, stressing that such evil activity cannot be going on without the involvement of the some stakeholders in the community.

Irked by the number of already decaying corpseses deposited inside a particular building in the hospital, the council chairman ordered the security personnel to search the entire hospital, during which the syndicate and illegal occupant of the hospital were apprehended in their hideout.
