The journey of a thousand miles they say begins with a step. Mine started some many years ago. For cultural reasons, I'm the oldest man of my Kingdom, Ekpetiama Kingdom, which means that I am so old, I should be used to ageing. But today, as I turn a year older, I am only grateful for being able to grow old and lead, every single day, as the number 1 custodian of the traditions of not just Ekpetiama Kingdom, but the entire Ijaw land.
