I participated in the 61st Meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) meeting of OPEC, reviewing crude oil production data for the months of May and June 2025.

Interestingly, Nigeria remains in adherence to the decisions made at the 38th OPEC and non-OPEC Ministerial Meeting (ONOMM), and that of the 52nd JMMC.

This highlights our conformity to the Declaration of Cooperation (DoC), and commitment to maintaining market stability.

Engaging meeting with His Excellency Hidayet Bayraktar, the Turkish Ambassador to Nigeria, focusing on strengthening bilateral ties, especially in the critical areas of the crude business, pipeline security, and indigenous technologies.

Acknowledging the longstanding diplomatic relations between our nations, we addressed concerns about a decline in crude relationships, mainly due to decreased production levels. I highlighted the measures we've taken and the recently enacted Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) as catalysts for enhanced production.

I assured the Turkish Ambassador of our confidence in the upward trajectory of our production. We explored broader commercial collaborations, emphasizing our commitment to addressing concerns and sustaining these vital partnerships. Our dedication to fostering enduring and mutually beneficial relationships is unwavering.

.....Crowd of heads as Sylva/Maciver Campaign trail stormed Ogbia L.G.A.

The APC Gubernatorial Campaign trail led by Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, the MD/CEO NDDC who doubled as the Director General of the Campaign Council stormed Ogbia Constituency 1, 2, & 3 for the Campaigns.

The campaign trail landed at Otuabagi, Ogbia Town, Otuasege and Otuokpoti with the message of renewed hope to the people and was received by massive crowd and jubilation.

According to the MD/CEO “Chief Samuel Ogbuku” who also doubled as the Director General (DG) of the 2023 Bayelsa State gubernatorial campaign Council said the APC is not campaigning in Ogbia but to thank the people of their continuous support to the party.

The immediate past Ogbia LGA Chairman, “ Hon. Ebinyo Marvin Turner” said the APC have a giving campaign DG, “Chief Samuel Ogbuku” while the PDP has a collecting campaign DG, “Hon. Mitema Obordor” therefore APC victory come November 11th is 💯% sure.

He added that the Ogbia people have unanimously resolved to vote massively for the APC to reciprocate the love shown by the President of the Federal Republic Nigeria, “H.E, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu” and the incoming governor, “H.E, Timipre Marlin Sylva” for appointing their Son as MD/CEO of NDDC.

The Leadership of the L.G.A presented a list of request to Chief Timipre Marlin Sylva, saying that after he's elected governor, he should pay serious attention on critical roads in the local government Area, mean while in a response by Sylva he promised not just to focus on roads but to extend his Development plan to critical areas such as electricity, human capital development, job creation, youth Empowerment etc. Sylva also promised the LGA that his administration will not relent to partner with the federal government, IOC's and other stakeholders in the completion of the Oloibiri museum project in the area.
