Following a painstaking investigation and extensive law enforcement measures, police have arrested Mr. Brandy George Idumange in connection with the murder of his colleague, Mr. Richard Ekpebu.

​Mr. Ekpebu was found dead from gunshot wounds at Bayelsa Palm in early August. The investigation revealed that Mr. Idumange, allegedly murdered Mr. Ekpebu to steal ₦9 million from a land sale. After the murder, Mr. Idumange reportedly took the deceased's phone and car and transferred the money to himself.

​He was apprehended yesterday morning in Lagos as he attempted to flee the country. This arrest was made possible through crucial intelligence and the cooperation of the Bayelsa community and government.
