The Bayelsa State chapter of the Society of Women Accountants of Nigeria, SWAN, has inaugurated a new EXCO to pilot the affairs of the association in the next two years.

The new chairperson of the association, Mrs Tokoni Ofoni FCA who was sworn in by the National President of SWAN, Mrs Blessing Osakwe-Ogo JP FCA promised to build on the achievements of her predecessors.

INEC Chairman Prof. Mahmood Yakubu Concludes Tenure

Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), officially concluded his second tenure today after a decade in office. He handed over responsibilities to INEC National Commissioner May Agbamuche Mbu, who will serve as the acting chairman until the president appoints a new chairman. The handover ceremony took place during a meeting with resident electoral commissioners.
