Mrs. Charity Kens Godwin visits Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Otueke

The Technical Adviser to the Governor on Entrepreneurship Development and Director-General of the Douye Diri Skills Acquisition and Empowerment Programme, Hon. (Mrs.) Charity Kens Godwin, has paid a congratulatory visit to the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University, Otuoke, Prof. Promise Mebine.
The meeting, held at the Vice-Chancellor’s office in Otuoke, Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, served as a platform for meaningful engagement on advancing entrepreneurship development within the state.
During the visit, Hon. Godwin outlined key challenges confronting entrepreneurs and explored strategic areas of partnership between her office and the university. She also extended a formal invitation to Prof. Mebine to attend the upcoming certification ceremony for programme beneficiaries, who will be awarded certificates by the institution. The Vice-Chancellor warmly accepted the invitation and pledged his support.
Both leaders underscored the importance of robust collaboration between government and academic institutions in building capacity and fostering sustainable growth for budding entrepreneurs. Prof. Mebine reaffirmed the university’s readiness to partner with the programme in delivering quality training and credible certification that will empower participants to succeed in today’s competitive business landscape.
He also commended the Governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, for his visionary commitment to empowering citizens through impactful skill development initiatives.
