Dembélé deserves the win — but Palmer has outshone nearly everyone else this season. Stats? Stacked. Eye test? Effortless. Finals? He delivers, with two trophies as proof.

And that “he didn’t play UCL” agenda? Miss me with that. Lamine Yamal didn’t even sniff the Club World Cup. One left with silverware, the other got bounced by Inter.

Whenever a FIFA tournament like the World Cup takes place, it suddenly becomes the main reason for awarding the Ballon d'Or — just like when Lionel Messi won his last one. Despite not being the standout performer for Argentina, he received the award simply because he was the face of their World Cup-winning team, with his club form largely overlooked.

Now, after Cole Palmer helped Chelsea win the FIFA Club World Cup, we’re being told that it doesn’t count? That somehow, he’s not deserving of Ballon d’Or recognition?

Meanwhile, the player being hyped — Lamine Yamal — has only won La Liga, a league many would argue is less competitive than the Premier League, where Chelsea finished fourth. Palmer was instrumental in that run, recording 15 goals and 8 assists, and also led Chelsea to the Europa Conference League title, scoring in the final.

If Yamal is being considered a serious Ballon d'Or contender, then Cole Palmer absolutely deserves to be in the conversation. Let's keep the same energy. 💙

That first frame really took me back to Reece James’ Wigan days.

I still believe Reece hasn't fully lived up to his insane potential — because the version of him I watched at Wigan was something else entirely.

You had to see it to believe it. He was like Marcelo, but on the right. A proper fullback who scored goals, smashed in free kicks from crazy distances, and seamlessly inverted into midfield — controlling it on his own while giving other midfielders license to push forward.

He’s still a fantastic player, no doubt. And honestly, I’m just happy that despite all the injury setbacks, he’s still playing at this level. That alone is elite but we missed a gem. 💙
