MRS. REGINA AGADAGA THROWS HER WEIGHT BEHIND GOV. DOUYE DIRI

~~~ Charged all the stakeholders and women in Ogbia to kick start house to house campaign for Senator Douye Diri ahead of November 11 governorship election.

The wife of the Senator representing Bayelsa East Senatorial district, Mrs Regina Benson Sunday Agadaga, has charged the stakeholders, and the entire women to kick start vigorous house-to-house campaign, and spread the good works of the Miracle governor, Gov Diri Douye ahead of the November 11 governorship election.

The grassroots politician made this statement, When she made host of the the stakeholders and the entire women leaders of Ogbia kingdom, on the 8th of September, 2023, at the Bayelsa East campaign secretariat for Gov Diri Douye, Yenegoa.

Mrs Regina in her speech showers encomium to the Miracle governor for turning Bayelsa state into a construction site. Saying, that a combination of Sen. Douye/Lawrence is the best a democratic society can get in delivering results of good governance, that anyone who wants the development of Bayelsa to continue, His Excellency, Douye Diri must be allowed to continue the good work, the second coming would bring the state to new heights of development and prosperity.

She went further to say, that the governor is the man who holds the formula to better the State and fulfill his electoral promises, saying, by the grace of God, come November 2023, she believes Bayelsans will allow him to conclude that good work of project ex*****on he is doing for them. Nothing will stop him from achieving that.

The first lady of Bayelsa East Senatorial district, concluded by appealing to the political generals to galvanize support for the miracle governor, saying, there is a need to ensure that his transformational vision, which he has put at work so far, is completed.

In attendance were Stakeholders, the immediate past assembly member of Ogbia Constituency (3) Former LGA Chairman, the Wife of the Assembly members of Ogbia constituency 1 and 3, wife of Commissioners, the wife of the CTC Chairman, Vice Chairman Ogbia LGA, Female political appointees, all the 13 PDP ward Women leaders, and grassroots political generals in Ogbia kingdom.

Rousing Home-Coming In Bayelsa as Party Faithfuls and Support groups Welcome Senator Benson Agadaga, at the PDP Youth Alliance Secretariat.

"First, let me express my heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri Governor of Bayelsa state and his Deputy Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo for sending me to the Senate and giving me the required support.

Let me also thank the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, for finding me worthy to chair the Committee on Oil and Gas Host communities.

Thank you the People's Democratic Party, for believing in me. Thank you to all of you who came out today to welcome me.

It is great to note that where I am today is as a result of your support. The Youth Alliance always stood by me, you all remember I came here during my campaign to ask for your support, today I'm here to say thank you for all the support you gave me before, during and after the election. Today I am not only the Chairman of Oil and Gas Host communities but also a member of thirteen other committees.

A state like Bayelsa needs a leader to build roads and bridges and that is what Gov. Douye Diri is doing, so he deserves a second term, go around the state and see the wonderful work the Governor is doing, linking the three Senatorial Districts through road networking, let us come together and give him all the support come November 11th 2023.”

Guinness Book: Bayelsa-Born Ball Juggler, Tonye breaks world record
..sets 149 climbing steps on mast with ball on head

Mr. Tonye Solomon, a.k.a, D. Boy, has registered his name in the Guinness Book of Record for successfully climbing a mast making 149 steps in the process while having a ball balanced on his head.

Tonye who hails from Okordia community in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State has by this feat breaks the Guinness book of world record as “The Greatest Distance Travelled With the Football Balanced On The head”.

The existing record is 70 steps while the new steps await confirmation.

The event held this morning at the Hospital Road behind Police Officers Mess with a crowd of supporters led by the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Dr. Gentle Emelah and immediate past Lawmaker for Kolokuma/Opokuma Constituency One, Hon. Tonye Isenah.

Mr. Chukwuebuka Ezugha who represented Guinness World Record to monitor the entire process assured Bayelsans that the Global body would within the next three weeks review the exercise for the required confirmation.

Sen. Benson Agadaga emerges Chairman-Senate Committee on Oil & Gas Host Communities, member-NDDC Committee & 12 others.

Senator representing Bayelsa East Senatorial District, Chief Benson Agadaga (MON) has emerged as the Chairman-Senate Committee on Oil & Gas Host Communities.

Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, who made the pronouncement on Monday, also named Senator Agadaga as a member in thirteen other committees including that of the Senate Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission, Anti-Corruption And Financial Crimes, Aviation and Federal Road Maintenance Agency.

Others are Education Basics And Secondary, Power, Industries, Public Procurement and Senate Services, National Planning And Economic Affairs, Media And Public Affairs, Downstream Petroleum and Niger Delta Ministry.

Speaking with National Assembly Correspondents on Tuesday, Senator Agadaga expressed appreciation to the Senate President and other principal officers for finding him worthy to serve as Chair and member of the various committees, even though he is a first timer.

Chief Agadaga also thanked Governor Douye Diri and former Nigeria President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan for their support and encouragement, as well as the Peoples Democratic Party Working Committee and his constituents, for giving him the platform to serve and render quality representation.

He thanked God for making it possible for him to be named Chairman and member of various Senate Committees, stressing that it will enable him to serve Baylsans and Nigerians better.

Senator Agadaga described the committee which he chairs and NDDC as very critical to the prevailing peace, stability and development of the Niger Delta region, owing to the constitutional role they play in the oil and gas sector.

He assured of his resolve to work in synergy with the members of the Senate Committee on Oil & Gas Host Communities, NDDC and others to ensure that the constitutional responsibility of oversight functions of the committees are discharged creditably.

The federal lawmaker said host communities bear the brunt of oil exploration activities including oil pollution, gas flaring, loss of aquatic life, destruction of farmlands, as well as insufficient compensation from international oil companies and their partners in cases of oil spillage..

Chief Agadaga said the Oil and Gas Host Committee will as a matter of urgency, look into all issues bordering on the welfare and livelihood of host communities, in line with the Petroleum Industry Act, to proffer lasting solutions to the myriad of problems facing them, and urged them to remain peaceful and open to dialogue.
