Tragic Loss for the Downs Sequeira Family

In an unimaginable turn of events, the Downs Sequeira family is mourning the loss of three beloved family members in just 18 days.

Aracely Downs Sequeira became the second victim of a devastating house fire that destroyed the family home in the Cotton Tree neighborhood of Bluefields, Nicaragua.

Diego Diaz, amigo de la familia Downs Sequeira, ha creado un Gofoundme, para apoyarlos a reconstruir su hogar. La familia Downs Sequeira, atraviesan un trágico momento, por la pérdida del pequeño Harley Jr. de once años, además de la casa familiar, donde habitaban producto de un voraz incendio que acabo con la alegría de esta familia.

El trágico incidente ocurrió la madrugada del lunes cuatro de agosto, en el barrio Punta Fría, de la ciudad de Bluefields Nicaragua, por ello solicitan algún aporte económico a la siguiente dirección, para apoyarlos en la reconstrucción de la casa de esta familia, que hoy necesitan del apoyo.

Igualmente algunos pobladores del barrio Punta Fría, inician a organizarse para realizar una colecta en la ciudad de Bluefields, para recaudar dinero en efectivo para seguir apoyando a la familia.

Deshawn Atily Martinez, passed away, the family inform that his Funeral Service, will take place on tuesday 05/08/2025.

Starting at 1pm at the family home in the neighborhood of 19th of July 2025 then at 2pm at the Cordero de Dios church (infront ENACAL office), then they will procede to the local cemetry.

Warner died in a motorcycle accident.

The community of Bluefields was surprise to know that Warner Dale Hamilton Narcisso, from the neighborhood of Beholden, died after being involved in a traffic accident on the highway Bluefields - Nueva Guinea.

Warner was traveling on a motorcycle that slid due to the sand that was on the road, which caused him to crash into a truck.

The incident where he lost his life, took place on Thursday night, July 31. We extend our condolences to his wife, Gina, children and the rest of family who have lost a man devoted to his family. A sports lover who along with his wife, instilled a passion for sports in their children.

Caribe Sur y Zelaya Central listos para segunda etapa del beisbol nacional

Este dos de agosto el campeonato nacional de beisbol nicaragüense inicia su segunda etapa, el equipo Caribe Sur, finalizo la primera vuelta en el 5to lugar de la tabla general, con 48 juegos ganados y 28 perdidos.

Para esta segunda vuelta, el Caribe Sur se han reforzado con el receptor Kevin Arroliga y el jardinero Luis Sequeira. Ya todo esta por iniciar y la afición del caribe sur que no falla esta lista para animar desde las graderías de los estadios.

La primera serie del team del Caribe Sur será ante Zelaya Central, única serie que la novena del Caribe Sur, jugará fuera de casa y será el dos y tres de agosto en Nueva Guinea.
