Freddie Spencer's final adventure in the 500cc World Championship came in 1993, when the legendary "Fast Freddie" returned to the premier class aboard the Yamaha ROC 500 of Team Yamaha France. After writing unforgettable chapters in motorcycle racing history with his world titles in the 1980s, the American champion attempted a challenging comeback. Unfortunately, the competitiveness of the Yamaha ROC 500 and the physical issues that had accumulated over the years prevented him from returning to the front of the field. The season ended with just 2 championship points, but seeing one of the greatest talents of all time take on the world's best riders once again remains a special memory for fans.
