One of our fine clients, The Concertgebouw Orkest, was very happy to leave the pandamic restrictions behind. A full orchestra played their Opening Night for the new season for 3000 visitors at the Dam square Amsterdam.

The outdoor / festival / large scale opera season for Da Capo came to an end with the last performance of Benjamin Britten’s Peter Grimes which premiered 10 September. 18.000 visitors enjoyed this spectacular event at the northern coast of the Netherlands. Rob van der Meijs made the sound design and Da Capo took care for the full audio production including a self owned Timax tracking and localisation system.

Opera season for Da Capo. Currently working for large scale operas at Salzburger Festspiele and Ruhrtriennale. But also for this small Joseph Haydn opera at Nijetrijne. Starting next week for the Benjamin Britten opera Peter Grimes.

There is Hip hop and Hip hop Orchestras. Last Sunday it was the Metropole Orkest’s turn. This Jazz, world & pop music orchestra  played a very nice and interesting concert for 101 Barz at theatre Carré Amsterdam, to be seen on tv the 26th of May. 🇳🇱

The Dutch celebrated the end of World War II, normally we should do it with a live concert on a big stage at the Amstel river. This year (for the second time during the pandemic) we celebrated at Koninklijk Theater Carré. The Metropole Orkest replaced the audience who is still not allowed to join. 📷

Modern music Ensemble INSOMNIO likes to play and wants to play together also during this pandemic. With the collaboration of Da Capo and other partners they developed a way for their musicians to play together from their homes while living far apart (even different countries).
