The shoot of M237
During his first hunt with his father, 14-year-old Bende steps into a world that was never built for children; a world of rules, silence, and the unspoken rites of Hungarian manhood. What begins as an adventure slowly tightens into a battlefield where every boy must choose: repeat the wounds he inherited, or carve out his own moral compass.
M237 is born from that cycle. The generational pain that passes from father to son long before anyone understands it. Through Bende’s eyes, the hunters’ world shifts from excitement to pressure, from pressure to violence, and from violence to the moment he must confront the person he fears losing most: his father.
Shot in the quiet, mist-filled Pilis Mountains of Hungary, the film moves between raw realism and subtle absurdity. where harsh survival laws meet the fragile desire to be accepted.
