I’ve always believed that in life we should pursue happiness, even if it means turning everything upside down. We should challenge boredom, get used to living many lives, and allow ourselves to be whatever we want, whenever we want.

In my own small way, I’m trying to do just that: imagining myself anywhere, while carrying in my heart the people I truly love. We are made to love. Perhaps we should learn a little more how to love ourselves, too.

’s flight gets delayed to the next day.
One night in Geneva, breakfast, then a 3-hour drive into the Alps. Finding out there’s still snow in May and that, somewhere inside the chaos, the landscapes are absolutely breathtaking.

On this project I was working as first AC, but for this specific sequence I switched roles with my 2nd AC, he handled focus pulling, while I operated the camera and movement.

Shot on ARRI Alexa Mini LF with an Atlas Orion 50mm anamorphic, supported by a Ronin 2 and Ready Rig configuration, a setup that inevitably limits maneuverability in tight spaces.

The shot begins in a confined interior space, tracking the subject continuously up to a hidden cut, precisely placed at the doorway transition. From there, the movement resumes seamlessly, maintaining spatial continuity.

The main challenge wasn’t in the open areas, but in the interior transitions, tight locker room curves, limited space, and obstacles along the left wall required constant micro adjustments.

Inside the locker room, the frame subtly shifts to the right while keeping the coach left weighted, a necessary correction to avoid contact between the Ronin’s left handle and the wall mounted hair dryers.

Additional complexity came from elevation changes, stairs both at the beginning and near the pool entrance required precise footwork and stabilization control.

The sequence concludes with a vertical relational shift, from a wide shot into a top down interaction between the subject and the actress.

This sequence was completed in just a few attempts, locked on the third take, due to daily schedule constraints.
