Happy 5th Birthday TEN Women, Amsterdam. Very proud to be a part of this beautiful community

Walking alongside a community of entrepreneurial women who uplift and inspire me has given me the courage to be more clear about my why and USP. Most of all though, it has crystallised that we as women are not in competition with each other, but instead, celebrate our differences and unique stories by shining a light on each other.

And just like that....after 3 months of development & delivery....my Psychology course is finished!

Having lived and breathed psychology it’s now time to let the hair down & celebrate Koningsdag in Amsterdam; where the city will shortly become a sea of orange. Could be a lesson in social psychology all by itself but the brain will have a much needed rest (for the weekend).

This International Women’s Day I feel a little disillusioned by it all - the ‘production’, brown paper packages tied up in string. It can often feel like nothing changes - where is the progression?

This year I’m going back to basics. What I’m sharing is nothing revolutionary, no bells & whistles but steps I will take to educate myself, give my son the empathy & self-confidence to navigate this world with kindness & to amplify my voice for the human rights issues I am moved by. Today I marched with good friends & Júlíana Björnsdóttir in Amsterdam & I’m excited by all the strong, powerful women & men I met along the way.
Let’s keep going ✌️

Back in the classroom and it feels so good! Teaching International Business to Undergraduates in the heart of Amsterdam - a pinch me moment!

I don’t take this Professor task lightly - the theoretical part & cutting edge data & frameworks are important, but that application to the real world at work is most key to get across to my students. It’s been fun reflecting on my past international experiences to get that piece right and as always I’m learning so much along the way.
