SOMETHING A BIT DIFFERENT FROM ME
From 0km to 2 Marathons in 14 Days: 12 Months of Grit.
On Sunday, I crossed the finish line!! My fourth medal in five months and my second marathon in just two weeks.
12 months ago, I wasn’t a runner. No carbon shoes, no training plan! just a goal and a ‘why.’
The Journey: This wasn’t a linear path; it was a messy, exhausting journey of self-discovery.
✅ August: First park runs.
✅ November: 10K finish. The spark was lit.
✅ March: Half Marathon. It got real.
✅ Two Weeks Ago: Brighton Marathon. My first 26.2.
✅ This Sunday: London Marathon. The ultimate test of recovery.
4 medals. 5 months. 1 year of transformation.
Photos show the medal and the smile. They don’t show the injuries that nearly sidelined me in December, January and between the marathons, the 5:00 AM alarms in freezing rain, or balancing a high-pressure sales career with relentless training.
Why did I do it?
You don’t push through the “wall” for metal; you do it for something bigger. I ran for two lifelines:
✅ : Supporting mental health so no one fights alone.
✅ : Empowering people with disabilities to live independently. 52.4 miles is nothing compared to the challenges these people face daily.
The Lesson:
In sales, we talk about “resilience.” A marathon proves it. There are no shortcuts or “hacks”, you either put in the work or you don’t. Whether it’s a complex deal at Base.com or mile 22 of a race, the solution is the same: Keep moving forward.
One Final Ask:
The medals are up, but the mission isn’t over. If you’ve followed my journey, please consider donating. Even the cost of a coffee makes a massive difference.
