Gert Motmans .motmans works between photography and collage, building surreal compositions where nostalgia, nature, the sacred and the architectural meet. He works analog, in the darkroom, printing on handmade Japanese and weathered papers gathered over time. The Antwerp artist is one of the creative voices in 1605 Magazine No.3, Duality.

For 1605 Magazine No.3, Duality, we invited Elza Wandler , founder and creative director of the label Wandler, to share a few of her picks.

For architecture, Museum Voorlinden : a building by Kraaijvanger Architects that serves the art rather than overshadowing it, where natural light brings the collection to life.
For art, Marria Pratts : a Spanish artist whose work feels raw and electric, colourful and expressive, with a vibrancy that makes it feel alive.
For photography, Davit Giorgadze .avit: a Georgian photographer known for bold colour and composition, who weaves faces with flowers and fashion.
For design, Sabine Marcelis with the natural stone brand SolidNature : their Swivel chairs treat stone as something alive, full of colour, pattern and light.

Babs Decruyenaere builds her images from what she finds outdoors: stones, shells and small natural gems gathered along the beaches of Zeeland, Picardy and Lanzarote. Working in analog black and white, often without a camera, she returns to the darkroom to let these forms become photographs. Understanding the Landscape gathers that practice across three different papers, an introspective study of natural form. An edition of 200.
