This track is where it all began.

Watching Barry remix Cargo Cult’s PRTY SHNK lit a spark in me. Inspired, I decided to give it a shot myself, and the result was “the ADHD remix” (aptly named). There was no grand plan, no expectations—just pure fun. And oh boy, did I have fun!

In one epic day of hyperfocus, powered by caffeine and creative chaos, I worked on this track until 3 AM, putting my Ableton Live skills to the test in service of ultimate head bopping.

Then Barry sprinkled his signature sauce over it, and Jay from gave it that Master Chef touch 🧑‍🍳 for the perfect finishing flavour.

Now, it’s here: the “Director’s Cut”, featuring the original banger by + Barry’s remix + AlmabuenA’s second single!

Ending the year on a high note with this one. 💜

There was a time I was 3 years old and met an angel named Juani at a Music and Movement class for toddlers. For 13 years, she was my flute teacher—and my safe space—at my local music school.

There was a time I studied transverse flute at the Conservatory and toured Spain and Europe with a symphonic orchestra.

There was a time I got an electric guitar for Christmas and tried (badly) to play Iron Maiden in my bedroom.

There was a time I started a band with my best mate Toñín, rehearsing at school and pretending to be rockstars.

There was a time I learned Music Production from and finally made sense of Ableton Live (well, mostly).

There was a time we were all stuck at home, and my (online) guitar teacher taught me how to truly connect with my electric guitar. It kept me going, even when the world felt still.

There was a time I went to open mics almost daily in Amsterdam, soaking up inspiration from amazing artists like .music .flp and so many more!

There was a time my friend and I jammed for hours and helped each other through homesickness for Spain.

There was a time I met .spaan 💜—the most creative musician, producer, and sound engineer I’ve ever known.

And finally, there was a time I stopped doubting myself, and decided to share the music sitting on my hard drive —and create new one too. That time is now.

Under the name AlmabuenA (Goodsoul), Barry and I are making music together. Our debut single is here: “There Was A Time” (aka T**T).
