New York in da house! DJ M33CH drops a summer jam for his NY pose! Meech Dimitri Bender Get your copy via Traxsource & Beatport "This is New York" on Younan Music

21/08/2026

We sat down with DJ M33CH in celebration of his debut new single “This Is New York” on Younan Music. And get to know the man behind this New York summer anthem.

1. Is there a specific sound or style you’re really passionate about right now?

I’m diving back into my roots that raw New York sound with Latin influence, tribal rhythms, house, and techno. Music moves in cycles, and every 10–20 years, certain sounds come back around with a fresh perspective.

2. How do you handle creative blocks? Do you have any tricks to get back in the groove?

Whenever I hit a block, I step away from the studio to experience music from the other side. Going to a big show or festival inspires me seeing the crowd react and hearing something unexpected always sparks new ideas.

3. What’s the most underrated part of DJing or producing that people don’t talk about enough?

The journey itself. People celebrate the hit records, but there’s beauty in the growth and evolution before that moment. Learning from friends, teaching each other, and pushing one another to become better artists is the most rewarding part.

1- If you could collab with any artist, dead or alive, who would it be?

That’s a tough one because so many artists have influenced my journey. I’ve been lucky enough to already collaborate with artists I’ve admired for years, like Saeed Younan, which is something I truly appreciate. There are still a few names on my dream list, though Danny Tenaglia, David Herrero, and David Tort are definitely up there.

2- Do you have any rituals or superstitions before you get on stage?
I wouldn’t say I have any crazy superstitions, but I do have a little ritual. I usually get really happy and excited before a set, that moment right before stepping on stage is something I love.

3- What’s the most unexpected thing you’ve learned about yourself through your music?

The most unexpected thing I’ve learned about myself through music is how much it has helped me understand who I really am. I always thought I was just someone who loved making people dance, but I realized music is also my way of expressing things I don’t always put into words.
