Julie Mehretu’s artwork, adapted as monumental fabric scrims, shapes the scenographic space for the new opera The Nine Jewelled Deer, directed by Peter Sellars. Making its world premiere at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence until July 12.

With music by Sivan Eldar & Ganavya Doraiswamy, costumes by Camille Assaf, and lighting by James F. Ingalls.
