At the end of August, SMP Amsterdam also joined the Eyes & Ears Awards 2025 jury for Design at RTL in Cologne.
Two days, ten colleagues, one room, and a flood of creativity. We didn’t just watch the entries, we debated them, challenged each other, and searched for the spark that makes design truly stand out. It reminded me why this industry never stops fascinating us: when strong ideas collide, it becomes more than television, it becomes culture.
A big thank you to Frederic Geisler and the RTL Deutschland team for being such generous hosts, and to our fellow jury members for the honest conversations and sharp perspectives.
The countdown is on: on October 20 in Munich, we’ll see which projects rise to the top. But what stood out for us in Berlin and Cologne was the energy in the room, the inspiration exchanged, and the sense of community with my fellow jury members, including:
