Mary was a 1st-century Galilean Jewish woman of Nazareth, and the mother of Jesus according to the New Testament and the Quran. The gospels of Matthew and Luke describe Mary as a virgin, and Christians believe that she conceived her son while a virgin by the Holy Spirit. The birth of Jesus took place when Mary was already betrothed to Joseph and was awaiting the concluding rite of marriage. Mary has been venerated since Early Christianity, and is considered by millions to be the most meritorious saint of the religion.

🇷🇺 Russian Embassy in the Netherlands:

🇷🇺Comment by the Russian Embassy in the Netherlands on the militaristic statements made by Dutch leaders

• Over the past few weeks, high-ranking officials of the Kingdom have been firing off threatening statements against Russia, crossing all reasonable boundaries. Not to mention the completely unacceptable, rude tone of their statements regarding the Russian leadership.

• Acting Minister of Defence R.Brekelmans regularly calls for increased military support for the criminals in Kiev and declares the need to be prepared for conflict with Russia by 2030.

• Acting Minister T.Aartsen (Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management), in turn, announces plans to change the structure of rail transport in the Netherlands, under which the transport of military cargo will take priority over civilian transport. These measures are directly aimed at optimising NATO logistics towards the Russian borders.

• Following Finnish President A. Stubb's visit to the Netherlands, it has become clear that the main thesis being promoted by the Dutch officials is the further increase of military support for Ukraine and the strengthening of NATO's capabilities. Against whom exactly — that is a rhetorical question.

• At the same time, the Kingdom's authorities are trying to present such steps as an attempt to ensure peace in Europe "through force".

• It should be clearly understood that threats against Russia are the last thing that contributes to strengthening security. One should not expect that Moscow does not hear and notice such statements.

• Russian President Vladimir Putin has spoken very clearly on this matter:

"We are not planning to go to war against Europe. I have said that a hundred times. But if Europe wants to wage a war against us and suddenly starts a war with us, we are ready."


❗️We call on the Dutch authorities to stop the anti-Russian hysteria and seriously consider where they are leading their country.
