After 15 unforgettable years of pure, cherry picked funky grooves, the Amsterdam Funk Channel is signing off.

What started as a passion for soul, funk, and the golden era of groove grew into a movement, a heartbeat shared by thousands of listeners around the world. Together, we danced, we vibed, and we kept the funk alive.

Now, with gratitude in every beat and pride in every note, we’re turning down the fader. Not because the music stopped, but because it’s time for a new rhythm.

From the bottom of my funky heart: Thank you. For listening. For grooving. For being part of this incredible journey.

We’re leaving on a high note, and the groove goes on, wherever you are.

🎉 15 Jaar Amsterdam Funk Channel 🎶

In oktober 2010 zag Amsterdam Funk Channel het levenslicht. Het het initiatief van geestesvader Lesley Jones, die één ding voor ogen had: een radiostation creëren dat dag en nacht doordrenkt is van echte funky grooves. Geen snelle hypes, geen vluchtige trends – maar pure, tijdloze muziek die mensen in beweging brengt en samenbrengt.

Vijftien jaar later is die droom méér dan werkelijkheid geworden. AFC is uitgegroeid tot het nummer één radiostation in zijn genre, een vaste waarde voor duizenden luisteraars die dagelijks afstemmen voor hun dosis soul, funk, R&B en dance classics.
