Lifeboat Media is challenging perceptions and stereotypes about people living with or affected by . We film conversations between men and women of different backgrounds and s*xual orientation who discuss the issues that are important to them: s*x, relationships, family, work, coming out, finding peace and living fulfilling lives. This series has grown out of our earlier work and adds another layer in our cross media project using digital media as a tool to break stigma surrounding HIV.

Our work at Lifeboat Media has been featured in the March 2017 Dutch magazine (number 18) Hello Gorgeous, which focusses on normalising people living with hiv. The article is called "More contact, less stigma" and focusses on our approach to using media as a gentle, humanising intervention. It also highlights the research done by Maastricht University at the end of last year that showed that our media makes a significant impact in terms of fear reduction. It works. Our team is very happy to hear this and hoping to develop more work in combination with organisations that value media that is gentle and doesn't "message" to broad communities - instead, it seeks to begin conversations within smaller communities. Thank You Hello Gorgeous!

We're proud and humbled to have had so many wonderful friends, partners and collaborators on our journey from the original web documentary project 'Lifeboat: HIV - Daring to Share' to the series of candid conversations about living with hiv.

Films from both projects have been used in groundbreaking research by Maastricht University to prove that media can reduce hiv stigma.

We remember our dear friend Narcis today. She was a beautiful and brave human being and we're proud to have met her and worked with her in our original "Lifeboat: HIV - Daring to Share" web-documentary project.

We miss you, dear Narcis! http://www.lifeboatfilms.org/
