After Bastard called it quits, Brian James formed The Damned and Alan Ward formed Elton Motello.

With this band, in 1977, Alan wrote and sang the lyrics for "Jet Boy Jet Girl" which is probably the first q***r punk anthem with lyrics that were way too raunchy and ahead of its time ("He gives me head").

Around the same time another version of the exact same track performed (and not sang) by Plastic Bertrand with nonsensical French lyrics became a worldwide cult-hit.

Late last year we visited Alan Ward (Elton Motello, Rollerball, Feather) in his mastering studio in Brussels (where he still works to this day) to hear the original Bastard recordings for the first time.

Alan was kind enough to also do a little interview about Bastard and how wild their live shows were back in the day. (full video on YouTube)
