Unlike the Switch, though, the Moto Gamepad has a fairly big problem when it comes to actually having games to play. If you are someone who plays a lot of Sonic or emulated Game Boy games, then the Moto Gamepad is probably great for you.

Tesla finally unveiled its heavy-duty, all-electric Semi truck, and we're impressed.

The big rig is the sum of all of the automaker's work in one massive package, featuring design cues from its other vehicles and even borrowing their parts, like the Model 3 motors that power each of its "super single" wheels. Musk claims the Semi will also offer truckers BAMF acceleration and performance specs, up to 500 miles of range per charge, and a cheaper cost to operate than standard diesel trucks.

The Semi certainly looks the part of the next big thing for the trucking industry — but there's still so much about it that we don't know. Elon Musk only showed off certain aspects of the truck during his presentation, leaving some very important features to be shared at a later date, when Tesla is ready to start churning out the rigs for clients.

Electronic Arts has admitted its mistake over including microtransactions in the AAA blockbuster video game Star Wars Battlefront 2.

A blog post from Oskar Gabrielson, the general manager at DICE (the studio that built the game) sets out the dynamic U-turn.

"As we approach the worldwide launch, it's clear that many of you feel there are still challenges in the design," he wrote.

"We’ve heard the concerns about potentially giving players unfair advantages. And we’ve heard that this is overshadowing an otherwise great game. This was never our intention. Sorry we didn’t get this right.

Amazon Alexa is now available in Canada.

Amazon announced today that its intelligent personal assistant is moving north for the holidays, along with three of the devices it powers: Echo, Echo Plus, and Echo Dot.

Canada is the third country to receive Alexa — it was previously only available in the U.S., the U.K., and Germany.
Canadian users will get a tailor-made experience. Canadian Alexa is equipped with a Canadian accent, local knowledge, and functionality from Canadian developers. Companies such as Air Canada, TELUS, CBC, and the Bank of Montreal have contributed skills.

The world's largest dinosaur tracks were made 150 million years ago by a big beast at least 115 feet long and weighing more than 5,500 stone, according to new research.

The tracks were first discovered eight years ago in the French village of Plagne, in the Jura Mountains.

Since then, a series of excavations at the site has uncovered other tracks, sprawling over more than 150 metres (492 feet).

They form the longest sauropod trackway ever to be found.

Whether we like it or not, smartphones are moving away from the trusty 3.5mm headphone jack.

Apple, Google and Motorola have all ditched the connection on their flagship phones and others are sure to follow.

So if you don't want to be carrying dongles around with you all day, you're going to have to make the jump to a pair of wireless cans. There are already loads of options out there, but Motorola is doing something a little bit differently with the Sphere+.

Created by manufacturing company Binatone which licences the Motorola name, the Sphere+ is an all-in-one Bluetooth speaker/headphone combo.

The idea is that you can listen through the speaker and then just grab the headphones when you need to get moving and continue the experience.

You no longer need to buy a big and expensive DSLR with a insanely large lens to get "professional-quality" photos with shallow depth of field.

If you have an iPhone (7 Plus, 8 Plus, or X), Google Pixel 2 or 2 XL, or Samsung Galaxy Note 8, you can already get great pro-level shots with minimal effort thanks to their "portrait modes" ("Live focus" on the Samsung).

Made popular by the iPhone Plus models in recent years, portrait mode is what's responsible for those pics where the the foreground (usually a person) is super-sharp, but the background is blurred out, giving that dramatic effect you usually only get from pros with seriously good camera gear. Smartphones have been doing the trick since at least the HTC One M8, and it's almost a standard feature now on flagships.

But which phone produces the best blurred-background effect (a.k.a. "bokeh" in photography terms)? We took an iPhone X, Pixel 2 XL, and Note 8 out to find out.

If you do, you're not alone. A recent study found that the average broadband speed across Britain is a measly 16Mbps.

And as more of our home appliances become reliant on the internet (not to mentioned watching movies or listening to music on streaming services) the load is only going to increase.
