Serena Williams has put her enormous Bel-Air mansion up for sale with a $2million asking price after swapping homes following the birth of her daughter.

The legendary tennis player recently gave birth to Alexis Olympia and is on the move with fiance and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.

The six-bed property in the Los Angeles area was built in 1935 and is one of the most prestigious properties in Stone Canyon.

It comes with two-and-a-half acres of land too and while the 36-year-old will be sad to wave goodbye to her home, the new place is situated in the vicinity.

The semi-finals and final of the World Boxing Super Series cruiserweight tournament will be held in Saudi Arabia.

With one quarter-final fight yet to be staged, the last-four clashes are expected to take place in the oil-rich Gulf state in January.
Oleksandr Usyk will take on Mairis Briedis while Yunier Dorticos will fight the winner of this weekend's fight between Murat Gassiev and Krzysztof Wlodarczyk.

The final is pencilled in for next May.

Anthony Joshua is set to pocket £15million from his clash with Kubrat Pulev — to become one of Britain’s best-paid sports stars.

The contest at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium in a fortnight is close to being a 78,000 sell-out and champ Joshua is expected to match his payday from his epic win over Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley in April.

Joshua’s £30m earnings from the ring in 2017 would eclipse footballer Gareth Bale ’s new £20m-a-year deal at Real Madrid and push Lewis Hamilton close as Britain’s best-paid sports star.

Hamilton earned £35m last year, and is set to eclipse that figure as he closes in on a fourth F1 world championship.

Lewis Hamilton took pole position for the Malaysian Grand Prix as title rival Sebastian Vettel suffered from engine trouble to leave him last on the grid.
The Mercedes of Hamilton will start from the front in Sepang on Sunday as he looks to increase a 28-point lead over Vettel's Ferrari in the championship fight.

Hamilton had been struggling for pace all weekend but was able to light up the timesheet at the right moment and will start first ahead of Vettel's team-mate Kimi Raikkonen and the Red Bull of Max Verstappen.

Long seasons are pushing players to their limit, says England’s Ben Youngs

Another senior England international has claimed leading players are “at the limit” of what their bodies can sustain amid rising concern over the number of injuries in the early weeks of the season. Leicester’s Ben Youngs says the players currently wish to avoid strike action but reveals there is increasing disquiet in dressing rooms about the sport’s attrition rate.

The topic of player welfare was impossible to avoid in Oxford, where England are engaged in a three-day camp, with Billy Vunipola the latest long-term casualty and eight other squad members unable to train fully. According to Youngs, the game grows steadily more demanding and common sense is needed in terms of season length.

Dr Aaron Reeves from Oxford University's Department of Sociology found that British parents did not see musical achievement by their children as character building or useful in getting university places or jobs. Instead, it was usually only those parents who played instruments who encouraged their children to follow suit, he says in an article in the journal Cultural Sociology.

Jonny Bairstow in his latest role as a one-day international opening batsman – and wizard boundary fielder – shepherded his side to the simplest of victories in the first match of the series. England cruised home by seven wickets on the nearest we are likely to come to a balmy Manchester evening at this time of year. Bairstow hit a fluent, unbeaten 100, his first ODI century, which means that it will take a while for the displaced Jason Roy to regain a place in England’s best team.

“It’s a long time since I made my debut at Cardiff [six years ago] so I’m really delighted,” said Bairstow, who must regard this as a landmark innings that is likely to forge a new career for him as an ODI player.

Essex bask in County Championship triumph after Somerset beat Lancashire

As the Somerset captain, Tom Abell, swept Lancashire’s Stephen Parry for four runs that completed a seven-wicket win, Essex’s players were huddled around a screen on their team bus, heading back from Birmingham after their win over Warwickshire, heads thick from a night on the tiles. In the words of James Foster, the veteran wicketkeeper, they “opened another beer and raised a glass”, because Abell’s blow confirmed what they already knew: Essex were the county champions, for the first time since 1992.

They arrived back at Chelmsford to a heroes’ welcome from an assembled throng of club staff, sponsors, fans and media. The champagne was finally uncorked and the club’s chief executive, Derek Bowden, heralded the title as “the end of the beginning”, as Essex’s young, homegrown side look to build a dynasty comparable to the Fletcher-Gooch era a quarter of a century ago.
