On Friday, 1 August, we are re-releasing the debut single "Night Ride" by . Originally self-released in 2003, Afturmath takes us on a journey through lush pads and glitchy melodic chops inspired by late night bicycle rides at the beach.

After 5.5 years in NYC, the BGR "studio in the sky" era is coming to an end. Join us for a final recording or mix session this Summer before we start boxing up equipment In September. Studio services will be unavailable August 28th through the end of December as we move to a new location in The Netherlands.

Thank you to everyone in the NYC area for your support these past few years. We are looking forward to the next chapter of experimental electronic music and immersive AV projects around the Amsterdam area.

Music touches people in different ways. For many, imaginary soundscapes can serve as an escape from reality during times of strife. Everyone deserves an escape, to feel a sense of calm, to reflect without the burdens of the outside world.

Last year we released Afturmath's "Analog Assay", an exploration into sound-driven worlds created by analog synthesizers. We hope the spaces presented have brought our listeners a sense of peace and discovery, and we want to spread this feeling as much as possible.

Analog Assay has now been set to "name your price," and some individual song downloads were also enabled. We understand that not everyone can afford non-essentials right now, and if that's the case, we're only asking for an email address so we can share more music in the future.

Afturmath's "Analog Assay" will be available on 4/20/2019 through your favorite online distributors.

"Analog Assay is a short series of explorations in analog synthesis. Legendary heavyweight synthesizers and effects units from throughout the history of electronic instruments are used to create huge spaces, lush washes across the frequency spectrum, and intricate nuances to distract attention from otherwise repetitive structures. In a deviation from modern music production trends, the goal of this album was to use as few instruments and effects per song as possible, relying on the capability of single instruments to express a much wider variety of sonic character."
