In case no one’s told you about Middle-Eastern flatbreads... let me be the first!! 🤭✨ This one’s got Labneh (strained yogurt with a hint of salt) and a mix of beef and Arabic spices, plus some colorful toppings that make it look like a superstar. Super fresh, bold flavours and VERY yummy
BEEF & LABNEH FLATBREADS
(4 portions | 330 kcal per serving)
Ingredients
Minced beef
• 2 tsp olive oil
• 1 small red onion
• 2 cloves of garlic
• 1 tsp Arabic 7 spices
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/4 tsp pepper
• 1 tbsp tomato paste
• 50g bell pepper
• 300g minced beef
Flatbreads
• 4 flatbreads
• 200g labneh or simple Greek yogurt
• 2-3 tomatoes, sliced
• 50g pomegranate seeds
• Fresh mint leaves
• optional: a drizzle of hot honey
Instructions
1. Prep ingredients: dice onion and bell pepper, mince garlic, prep pomegranate seeds
2. Sauté onion + garlic in olive oil
3. Add Arabic 7 spices, salt & pepper, and tomato paste and cook for 2 min.
4. Toss in bell pepper, cook 3 min.
5. Add minced beef, cook until liquid evaporates and meat turns golden-brown (7-10 min).
6. Assemble: spread labneh on flatbread, pile on beef. Top with tomatoes, pomegranate, mint + drizzle hot honey.
