In Paris, May 9th 1950, the then French foreign minister, Robert Schuman, laid out in his now historic speech, his proposal for a new single “community” for coal & steel production in Europe.

Now, over 50 years later, our editors take the opportunity to explore the many facets of Europe and what it is to be European, in this, our Europe Day Special Edition.

With the closing of the university, Eurovisie has stopped printing the magazine as well. Even though we temporarily do not exist in our usual slightly smaller than A4-form, we do continue to write. Eurovisie is looking for contributions for the SES Lustrum issue. Flex a literary muscle and write about your experiences with SES, what the association means/has meant to you during your studies, or what you would like to tell fellow members as we reflect on 35 years of SES.
