What started as another early morning mission chasing mackerel quickly turned into one of our CRAZIEST garfishing sessions ever! 🎣🔥

We headed out before sunrise hoping to finally get some proper mackerel footage for the channel — because somehow every single mackerel trip something always goes wrong 😂
Either it’s pouring rain, the camera battery dies, or conditions just don’t play nice. But this time, we FINALLY managed to get some mackerel action on camera!

But honestly… the REAL star of the day was the GARFISH.

Using float rigs, we absolutely went OFF and ended up DOUBLE BAGGING OUT with garfish! In Victoria, the daily limit is 40 garfish per person, meaning hubby and I landed a full 80 garfish between us 😱🎣

The morning started steady, but once the pier got packed around midday and the bite slowed down, we made the call to move spots after lunch and headed to Frankston… and WOW are we glad we did.

From there it was pretty much cast after cast after cast. The float barely had time to settle before going under again 😂
Things got so hectic we could barely keep up!

We also included a few clips from our favourite local tackle store, LOHAS FISHING SHOP, to show some love and support for local fishing businesses that always help us out.

Also sorry we haven’t been posting as consistently lately! Life has been a little hectic, and with winter approaching, the weather hasn’t exactly been helping either 🌧️🥶 But we’re back and excited to share more fishing adventures with you all!

The Aftermath: waking up at 12nn after sleeping way way past our usual bedtime post late night chika nonstop while getting baked. Like a slumber party. Oh and then almost missed our excursion the next day cause it was at 10, and we were dead till noon. Lucky we charmed our way in - ofc. Fun times💗

POV you’re all adults now but soon as you reunite with your high-school mates, your mind soul and spirit kicks you right back to when you were kids and your sole responsibility in life is to get home safe and pass the exams. 🙏🏼

20 years later, we still struggled to keep our voices down, still giggled at each other’s weird laugh and dumb jokes, still loud as ever. Uggh! And Amsterdam, you were the perfect host to our reunion. 🤍
