A recreation of my latest Eurorack Patch in VCV Rack.

Plaits is the main driver of this patch. I'm sequencing the Model input with a step sequencer.

I'm using a crossfader to blend between Plait's main and aux outputs.

The turing machine randomly resets the sequence to create glitchy rhythms.

A parallel delay with high feedback + spring reverb adds character.

Finally clouds is rhythmically triggering grains in freeze mode for some stereo width.

When you're recabling your entire studio things can get complex real quick.

One technique I just came up with is to take pictures of your setup and simply overlay some text with, in this case, my MIDI and USB connections.

I do the same for my audio connections. It's also great to print everything and turn it into a little booklet. Very useful when you’re collaborating with other producers as well.

It's funny, but it's literally a noise generator that's driving these melodies.

Turning pure chaos into something musical is something I'll be talking about in the upcoming Modular Masterclass.

Playing around with randomness and modulation to find those hidden gems.

The modular basically becomes your collaborator.

You become the curator of whatever the machine spits out.

Pretty cool if you ask me :)
