LIGHT UP YOUR DAY DAILY DEVOTIONAL – Pastor Dr. Raf OTONO
Wednesday, 26th August 2026
Today’s Topic: REDISCOVERING PURPOSE
Scripture: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”— Jeremiah 29:11
Devotional
Difficult seasons can make believers question purpose, calling, and destiny. Burnout, disappointment, failure, delay, and emotional exhaustion often create confusion about life direction.
Many believers secretly wonder, “Does my life still matter?” Yet God’s purpose does not disappear because of difficult seasons.
Joseph’s purpose remained alive even in prison. David’s calling remained intact while hiding in caves. Esther’s assignment still existed despite fear and uncertainty.
The enemy attacks purpose through discouragement, hopelessness, distraction, insecurity, and emotional weariness. He wants believers to abandon assignments before fulfillment arrives.
Purpose is not based on feelings or current circumstances. God’s plans remain active even when life feels unclear.
Sometimes God allows difficult seasons to refine motives, strengthen character, deepen dependence on Him, and prepare believers for future assignments.
Do not allow temporary confusion to make you forget your value. Your life still carries divine purpose, meaning, and kingdom assignment.
God is not finished with you yet.
Declaration: My purpose, calling, and destiny remain alive and secure in God. No attack of the enemy can abort what God has ordained for my life; I will fulfil my divine assignment and finish strong.
Quote: “Difficult seasons cannot cancel divine purpose.”
Prayer: Lord, renew my clarity, vision, and confidence in Your purpose for my life.
Call to Action: Ask God today to reveal fresh direction and purpose for your next season.
This is your prophetic word from heaven to light up your day, now go forth and shine forth in Jesus' mighty name. Amen!
