Last night, the United Ukrainian Ballet Foundation closed with a Final Night at DeLaMar Theater.
Our film Front Row was screened, taking the audience on a journey through everything these dancers have carried, created, and left behind.
Yesterday also marked four years since the war in Ukraine began. There was a time when these dancers didn’t know if they would ever stand on a stage again. Yet every day, they continue to fight: not with weapons, but with movement, discipline, and heart to keep their culture alive.
We were deeply honoured to have Vlad’s father with us. He has been severely injured multiple times during the war. The third slide captures the moment Vlad received that devastating news. Against all odds, he survived. To see him there, present on this final night, was profoundly moving - a testament to resilience, love, and the strength that carries both families and artists forward.
Thank you to the dancers for trusting us with your story.
We are rooting for every new initiative, every next stage, every new chapter.
