A documentary about Dota World Championship. The special thing about this film is that it's not simply a visual recapitulation of the event. Contrarily, it shows all the elements one would experience in their life within such a condensed period of time: desire, pride, fear, failure, cheering up, missing, etc.
For those professional players, it's not just a game or competition. It's a career and a life they chose to live accompanied with extreme pressure. Dropping everything and choosing to believe in yourself even if nobody acknowledges your value.
I'm not a gamer, but I do respect the passion, persistence and the belief they had in themselves. Like the rest of us who have something to cherish and hold fast as the career to pursuit, gaming is their way of finding who they are and who they can be eventually.
Pls note: This review only refers to these professional players. :)
