2015 is the inaugural year of Abbey Road Institute. Our objective is to provide our students with the highest standard of theoretical teaching mixed with our unique approach to studio education. We maintain the highest educational standards, support ‘hands-on’ practical learning, provide the best professional lecturers and give

students access to state of the art equipment. Above all else we want to share our passion for what we do.

The Amsterdam Dance Event was two months ago, and we still cherish the memories. As the year draws to a close, we're sharing some of our favourite ADE moments. Over the past few years, Nexus Radio Nexus Radio , in partnership with Abbey Road Institute Amsterdam, has provided students and alumni a unique opportunity: to have their music showcased before industry professionals. The top talents also get a feature interview at the Nexus Lounge and appear in the official Nexus Lounge Amsterdam Aftermovie.

This year's winners are Alvaro Revuelta (REVU) and Alex Fernandez Guix (Alex Krift). Besides an exclusive interview at the renowned Nexus Lounge, they received a generous prize package from Fossil, Johnny Urban, and AlphaTheta (formerly Pioneer DJ).

Students and staff also joined the Nexus Lounge visit for networking, drinks, and enjoying great music.

Last month, we introduced Eleanor Faas, our lecturer for Music Business & Management, to you. For her Creative Entrepreneurship class, she invited Misha van der Winkel, also known as .life. As a music manager, Eleanor collaborates closely with Misha. During his guest appearance, he discussed his work and career and answered questions from our students.

Misha is an artist, producer, DJ, songwriter, and co-founder of and .music. He is also the creative program director at , bringing extensive experience.

As part of the programme, our full-time students visited the impressive Studio 150 last Friday. It's always a pleasure to meet the owners, Peter and Joeri, hear their stories, exchange expertise, and inspire the next generation of sound engineers and music producers. The studio is housed in an old church, offering stunning acoustics, a large microphone collection, and a control room equipped with a powerful 72-channel SSL 4000 G+.
