An increasing number of students are enhancing their projects with Dolby Atmos. Jacopo, also known as , a student at our institute and songwriter from Italy, is collaborating with senior lecturer Anthony () to perfect his mix and elevate his catchy pop song to an immersive experience. Our Studio 1, Dolby Atmos certified and outfitted with a full setup of 2 PMC IB2 and 8 PMC TwoTwo 8 speakers, offers students a significant advantage as music producers and sound engineers.

We recently interviewed Tina about her time at Abbey Road Institute Amsterdam—swipe through the slides to see her journey, insights, and advice.

Tina is a live-sound engineer (primarily at OCCII in Amsterdam) and studio engineer dedicated to translating each band’s vision with precision and creativity. She specializes in punk and experimental acts—the weirder the better—and never shies away from unconventional techniques. If there’s a chance to re-amp a kick drum through a bass amp (or any other out-of-the-box idea), she’ll take it—and make it work.

We are still reflecting on the incredible day we experienced at this year’s Global Graduation, held earlier this month in Abbey Road’s renowned Studio One! 🎓️⚡️
