This Thursday, it’s time for OceanLab! 🧜‍♀️

The legendary project born from the collaboration between Above & Beyond and Justine Suissa is at the heart of our latest showdown: both tracks come from the same year, 2010, but this time, two truly spectacular mashups, created by Myon & Shane 54 and Daniel Kandi, go head-to-head.

On one side: 'OceanLab - On A Good Day' vs. 'Gareth Emery - Metropolis', a mashup that created an incredible buzz, perhaps even greater than that of the two original tracks!

On the other: 'OceanLab - If I Could Fly' vs. 'Mike Shiver - On The Surface', an elegant and refined mashup that perfectly blends the atmospheres of both tracks.

Two very different interpretations, both unforgettable.

Whenever a radioshow reaches an important milestone, such as a round-numbered episode or, even more significantly, the legendary episode 1000, it can only mean one thing: time for a huge celebration! 💥🥳

It didn’t take long to realize that Tiësto’s set at the Atomium in Brussels on July 31 was going to be… atomic! ⚛️🤯A powerful blend of pure trance, nostalgic sounds and unexpected influences, making it without a doubt one of the finest DJ sets of 2026 ☝🏻

Among the many tracks played during his performance, one of his latest remixes also caught plenty of attention: Tiësto’s rework of 'Voicemail' by KUKO, a techno-oriented German DJ and producer whose original track was released last year.

With his remix, Tiësto injects the track with a massive dose of old-school hard trance, delivering fast, powerful and driving rhythms that perfectly complement the atmosphere of the original: adding an intriguing contrast is the vocal, which recreates the feeling of a recorded phone call before giving way to an even more explosive drop 🥰

It has now been 27 years since the release of 'C Sharp', the epic track by Benno de Goeij, whose iconic melody went on to inspire dozens of remixes and reinterpretations over the years ✨

Following that debut, the Dutch producer never pursued his solo project with any particular intensity, leaving that first chapter to establish itself as a true piece of trance history. In recent times, however, Benno had hinted at a renewed burst of creative energy in the studio, including alongside his longtime partner Piet Bervoets. It was around this very setup that he himself announced, just a short while ago, the return of The Quest with 'Round Trip' 🎹💫

Built around 140 BPM, 'Round Trip' makes no compromises when it comes to its classic trance identity. A continuous synth line sits at the heart of the composition, constantly moving between ascending and descending notes to create a progression that feels both deeply nostalgic and unmistakably electronic. It is a tribute to Benno's mastery of the keyboards, while also paying homage to the sound and spirit of the past

The first indoor edition of A State Of Trance in the United Kingdom fully lives up to expectations. The official lineup, unveiled yesterday, features an extensive list of artists, shaping the event into a true Dutch-style festival, set to come to life on November 14. ✨🇬🇧

Among the most anticipated moments is the face-to-face set between Armin van Buuren and Italy’s Giuseppe Ottaviani, alongside the Dutch icon’s customary solo performance as the leading figure in the trance scene ⚡❤️

The artist selection for the London show blends established names,already headliners on major international stages and at A State Of Trance events,with a new generation of emerging talents, who have been gaining increasing recognition in recent months thanks to the quality of their productions.

The event will follow a day-to-night format, with doors opening at 13:00 and closing scheduled for 22:30 💫

With profound sadness, we have just learned of the passing of William Orbit, who died on July 23. Born William Mark Wainwright on December 15, 1956, he was one of the greatest creative minds and electronic music producers of the last few decades.

Rising to prominence in the late 1980s, Orbit left an extraordinary legacy that extended far beyond electronic music, shaping some of the most iconic pop records of all time. His most celebrated achievements include producing and co-producing Madonna's landmark 1998 album 'Ray of Light', alongside acclaimed work with U2, All Saints and Blur.

Within the trance scene, he is best remembered for his remarkable reinterpretation of Samuel Barber's 'Adagio for Strings', a groundbreaking version that went on to inspire the legendary adaptation by Ferry Corsten, forever cementing its place in trance history 😪💔
