Do you know what this is?

This is the Medici Aqueduct, an ancient aqueduct active between the 17th and 20th centuries that crosses the countryside from Asciano Pisano to Pisa.

Even today, the water from the Valle delle Fonti is transported to Pisa through modern pipes that run underground along the aqueduct.

During our visit we also encountered Italians who came to fill their empty bottles with water. This is possible thanks to the taps that are placed in different places.
