Hey everyone, my name is Kevin, Iโm 33 years old and from Switzerland. I live with my girlfriend and our cat, and I work as a registered nurse in psychiatry.
My love for sneakers started pretty early. I saved up my pocket money for two months to buy my very first pair, an AND1 with a red toebox and black heel. I still remember buying them with my own money, such a special moment. A good friend reignited my passion a few years ago and since then it has really taken off again. I just love wearing loud and eye-catching pairs!
My favorite brand and model? Easy โ the Nike Air Max 1. Itโs simply the most beautiful silhouette ever made. I currently own around 85โ90 pairs, but letโs be honestโฆ there will definitely be more coming. My favorite in the collection is the Animal 1.0, Iโm a huge animal fan, so that one fits me perfectly.
There are still quite a few pairs on my wishlist, like the Animal 3.0 set, Dusk to Dawn and Denham. The hardest one to get was definitely the SF ID. I had to send quite a few persistent messages to finally get that pair.
As for sneaker stores, Switzerland doesnโt have that many, but Iโd pick Titolo and Qairstore. During a trip to Portugal, I discovered Sed.sneakered and was absolutely blown away! One brand Iโd never wear is adidas, not because I dislike them, but they just donโt fit my foot well. Plusโฆ theyโre not an Air Max 1.
My biggest steal was the Elephant OG including a donor pair, for less than retail. I probably spend around 6โ10 hours a week on sneakers, mostly taking photos. Luckily, my girlfriend supports me a lot, she even takes all my sneaker photos and has her own collection of around 40 pairs (Dunks, Jordans, AM1s, etc.).
My advice to new sneakerheads? Wear what you like, respect othersโ styles and most importantly, enjoy all these beautiful sneakers together.
