BIOGERONTOLOGY shares the sad news of the death of the "father" of modern biogerontology LEONARD HAYFLICK, who was also the inspiration behind the birth, growth and development of this journal. Biogerontology will not be there where it is now without the "Hayflick Phenomenon" and the "Hayflick Limit".
He lived for 96 years and 3 months!!
