ENLIGHTEN THE NIGHT! - Dutch
‘Enlighten the Night’ is het initiatief van vijf gedreven Industrial Design studenten aan de Technische Universiteit Eindhoven. Toen één van hen hoorde over de ‘Cover the Night’ actie (www.kony2012.com) was hij vastberaden om hier aan bij te dragen. Kleinschalige posters die verdwijnen in het straatbeeld zijn niet de doelstelling. GROOTSCHALIG mensen inlichten over wie Joseph Kony is en waar hij mee bezig is, daar moet bewustzijn over gecreëerd worden! En hoe kun je in Eindhoven, de stad van Frits Philips, ‘de lichtstad’, beter een boodschap overbrengen dan via een licht animatie op een 83 meter hoog gebouw pal naast het centraal station.
Het is tijd dat we laten zien dat we om onze medemens geven, lokaal maar ook zeker globaal. Wij, het volk, kunnen de maatschappij en de wereld waarin wij leven veranderen.

ENLIGHTEN THE NIGHT! - English
‘Enlighten the Night’ is initiated by five diligent Industrial Design students from the Eindhoven University of Technology. When one of them heard of the ‘Cover the Night’ operation (www.kony2012.com) he was determined to participate. Small posters that disappear in the bustling streets were not the goal. Enlightening the people and creating awareness about who Joseph Kony is and what he causes, that’s the mission to be accomplished! What better way of communication is there in Eindhoven, the city of Frits Philips, the city of lights (‘de lichtstad’), than to communicate a message through a light animation on a 83 meter high building right next to the Eindhoven central train station.
The time has come to show that we care about our neighbour, whether this is locally or globally. We, the people, can change society and the world we live in.
So please share this page and gather with as many people as possible to behold the light campaign and be inspired by the possibilities.
