In November, we took you to Slush with us. It was an amazing event, with many inspiring people and companies. We got a lot of new ideas and came back with a fresh perspective on our business! 🤩

But, to get back in the mood of Slush for a moment, there was an after movie made and we would like to share it with you. The movie is made by Solidfocus.nl and gives a good impression of our trip to Helsinki and time at Slush. 🇫🇮 Let us know if you can spot one of us in the video. 😉

In November Twente Board has created a new Greenzeen. 💻 This isn’t their first Greenzeen, Twente Board is one of our first customers and we already created a Greenzeen with them last spring. It is always exciting to start a partnership and especially as a start-up. Therefore, we would also like to thank Twente Board for their trust in our service. 🤝

In the report they present new projects. In it, the participants and the people behind the projects have their say about. Because in the end, of course, it's all about them. It’s an inspiring Greenzeen with a lot of stories of a very diverse group of people. 💪

Because we’re live with our closed beta Greenzeen, we’ll hopefully share more Greenzeens in the nearby future and maybe we’ll even share yours…🤩

Today is a Dutch national day, but we find this one too important not to share with the rest of the world. 🌐 Today is the day to change your password. Let’s be honest, you need a password for almost everything nowadays. And therefore it’s convenient to just choose one that you can easily remember and maybe use for more than just one platform… 🔑

As a SaaS company, our passwords are important, not just for ourself, but also for you as a user to ensure the safety of your Greenzeen. So we - as online nerds - want to give you some tips for the safety of your passwords and thereby your (personal) documents. 📚

😅 Don’t go for the most obvious choice of passwords. We know “welcome2022” is super easy to remember, but also easy to guess.

⚙️ Use a password generator. This will create a code made of letters, numbers and figures, which makes it more hard to guess by a hacker.

🖥 Don’t write them down on paper or in a document on your PC. This is easily accessible for anyone who will dig in your PC.

🔐 Disadvantage of those coded passwords is remembering the order of all characters. Using a password manager (with two step verification or password) to automatically fill in your passwords will help you remember every password.

🙅‍♀️ Change your passwords once or twice a year. This will ensure the safety of your (important) documents.

Well, Greenzeen officially reached 100%. 🥳 For everyone who is subscribed to our newsletter (if you’re not, this is your sign, because there is more to come) already knows. But if you didn’t know, we reached 100% and you can now officially start your free trial in Greenzeen. 🤩

Today is our first official day at Slush! 🤩 We are all set for a day of networking, talking and hopefully inspiring people, as well as getting inspired by other start-ups. 💪 Yesterday we had the opportunity to meet many other entrepreneurs, attend a pitch-event and listen to several speakers. It was a full, but very successful first day in Helsinki! 🎉

Yesterday we arrived in Helsinki, Finland and our Slush adventure started! 🤩
In our stories we keep you posted on everything we do, see and experience. 👀 Yesterday we met everyone from the Dutch group of entrepreneurs. Afterwards we had drink and dinner at the Dutch embassy.

This week Tom and Mathijs are at Slush in Helsinki. 🇫🇮 For everyone who doesn’t know what Slush is, it’s the worlds leading start-up event. 🤩 We know, it feels like Greenzeen has been here forever, but we are still a toddler in the world of SaaS companies. 💪

Together with a delegation of Dutch entrepreneurs they will visit this big event and get inspired by other (start-up) companies, speakers and hopefully inspire others with our product. And because we are so excited that we’re visiting this large start-up event, we want to share some of our experiences. 📹

Last week we hosted our first event and planted the first trees in our own Greenzeen-forest. 🌳 Together with the team and some of you we had an amazing afternoon. Huge thank you to , who gave a tour through his own foodforest, told about the impact of a foodforest has on the climate and helped out with the planting. 🌱

To give an impression about the day we want to share some of the photo’s that were made by . We had an absolute blast with the team and everyone that came. 🤩

About our forest…🌱

Tomorrow the day is finally there and we are super exited! We're hosting our first tree-planting-event and like to share some of the background behind our forest. It isn’t your average forest, because we are starting a food forest. This means that there will be a diverse planting of edible plants that attempts to mimic the ecosystems and patterns found in nature. 🌍

By planting trees we compensate our CO2 emission, but thereby also give back to nature. In a food forest you let nature do natures work and everything goes their own way. Once it is established, it is generally very resilient. 💪

A food forest is built out of different layers. The first is the root-layer, secondly herbaceous-layer and thirdly the scrub-layer. That is the base and on top of that we plant all different kind of plants and trees. 👨‍🌾

You can find our Greenzeen forest, it’s just outside of Enschede, the Netherlands. Take a walk and see how together we make the world a bit more eco-friendly. 🌳

Last Sunday it was International day of Checklists. Seems like a good time to share our checklist with you, to help a bit in advance of your first Greenzeen. Here are some of the essentials you need for your first Greenzeen. The first Greenzeen checklist! Excited? Absolutely!🤩

💡 Know your subject. It sounds super obvious, but sometimes it’s the hardest part of all. It makes sure you have consistency in your stories and not go to far off your subject.

🎨 Know the style you want to go with. This can mean the style of your writing, but also the colors and fonts to use. Maybe your Greenzeen comes out every season, then change the colors to that theme, but make sure people still recognize your brand.

🎤 Schedule your interviews well in advance. Maybe you want a few interesting people to have a word in your Greenzeen. But they also need to make time in their calendar for you.

📸 Don’t judge a book by its cover. Well in this case you probably should. Just like with an offline magazine the cover is the first thing your audience sees. The front page needs to trigger the reader and get them excited about the rest.

👥 Get the team together. Of course you can do this alone, but working together and thereby dividing the tasks, makes hard work light and it’s more fun. Greenzeen makes it possible to work together on one project.
