Blues at The Factory & The Nix Nixenmeer on the 25th February '26
Try telling me again the blues is for old socks ;-)

16-year-old Luca Holkenbork Luca Holkenborg Band and 23-year-old Meryn Beverlander Meryn Bevelander Band (playing since he was 14 himself)
played with the kind of authority that makes seasoned players shift uneasily in their seats. And yes… some people were literally staring jaws wide open.

Next Door Neighbor Blues (or. Gary Clark Jr)

This was young blood setting the blues on fire with guts.

Backed by a rock-solid rhythm section from the very top of the Dutch blues scene — led by guitarist Harm van Essen (La Ratte) with Walter Wilhelm on bass and Paolo de Stigter on drums — tight and professional.

There’s plenty of footage to come…for now — here’s a first taste.

How close can you get? Seriously… how close?
Well — this is about as tight as it gets without a time machine.
Another jaw-dropping performance by the incredibly good Dutch tribute band Status Quotes.
This is Roll Over Lay Down, brilliantly delivered during their 10-year anniversary concert last November.

Originally released on Quo's album Hello! in 1973 and later rolled out again on the 1975 live EP Quo Live to celebrate 13 years of denim, sweat and boogie.

Now here’s the fun part —Close your eyes for a second.
If you don’t believe it’s 1973, check your calendar.
Open them again…one mic, no tricks pure, unfiltered heads-down rock energy straight from the stage.

The Glasgow brothers Alan and Stevie Nimmo, two years ago in a rare, one-off acoustic concert in Nixenmeer the Nix.

Both bros united in Alan’s powerhouse blues-rock band, King King once dubbed “the best blues-rock band in the world” by Blues Rock Review.

made possible by a rhythm section of rare quality. Crackling guitar work of Harm van Essen, and the excellent, tasteful piano playing of Tom Eylenbosch (B).
